Juli's almost 2 years old dream finally came true!

Within 8 weeks I sailed from Slovenia to the very south of Croatia with my little AmaJuta. Included in the journey: visiting beautiful bays and ancient towns, meeting lovely people, climbing hills and mountains on big and small islands...and last but not least, experiences of the unexpected (of course)

Starting from Altnau/Switzerland to Koper/Slovenia: a lot of practical preparations and some easy going driving!

Honestly: two weeks before, it was not even clear I would take AmaJuta down to the Adriatic Sea on my very own, as I did not own the appropriate driver's license for moving a 4 tons vehicle (further information on demand) :-D

As happy as one can be when arriving in Koper/Slovenia

Looking for a place where I could leave car+trailer for 8 weeks, without spending a fortune. It took me half a day to find something. In the end it became Vojko's premises in Izola

Another overnight stay with the whole vehicle: Koper commercial area with McD. and shops for provisioning just around the corner or rather behind "us"

40l of drinking water should be enough for the first days. As I'm a fresh food cooking fan I just take some basic carbo stuff for being pimped everyday with local fruit and veggies

This is what you need to climb AmaJuta: a car door (with window down) in the right position. As I still had plenty of time before launching AmaJuta I used it for loading her.

You probably won't notice: before launching AmaJuta the next day I spent 3 hours with cleaning her completely from the outside. At home I couldn't do it as there's no proper location for creating a big mess.

The whole route I sailed solo on AmaJuta from 16.08. - 06.10.2016 in a rough overview:

Koper - Piran - Umag - Cervar Porat - Rovinj - Uvala Soline - Medulin: After a two year break, AmaJuta kisses salt water again and she likes it (and Juli likes it too).

In Piran communal harbour I realised the first time, AmaJuta will very likely be the smallest travelling ship on the whole journey

Cervar Porat: I was quiet disappointed there. The only reason I went into the bay for an overnight stay was the announced ruin of a hotel I wanted to visit . Unfortenately the ruin was a 1970's concrete block :-( I didn't know

...where, luckily, a 7m boat can squeeze in at any time. Two 40+' yachts had been rejected before by marina staff.
